Strictly Come Dancing is a popular British television show that has featured several celebrities that dance with their professional dance partners in order to compete in both the Ballroom and the Latin dances. The format had also been inspired from a modern-dance themed spin-off that had been titled “Strictly Dance Fever”.
Amongst the professional dancers that are almost the same in every year, there are only four of them who have been present in almost all the series. These dancers are Brendan Cole, Anton Du Beke, Erin Boag and last but not the least Camilla Dallerup.
The show has also paired a number of celebrities with some of the finest most professional ballroom dancers who compete against one other week after week in order to impress an entire panel of the judges and also the general audience with the hope of surviving elimination. It is through the results of the telephone polls that the viewers vote for their choice of the contestants that they want to stay. Say for instance there are a total of four contestants who are left, the one who is the judges’ favorite goes on to receive four points, the second most favorite receives three points, and so on and then the results of the viewers’ rankings are also going to be added to the points they have received from the judges.
The profits that are made from the telephone lines had been donated to the Sport Relief in the first series whereas after that they have been donated to the “Children in Need” from the second to the fifth series.
